Writer, editor, designer, random other content creator/artist of some kind. You know, at least that's how I view myself. Really I just fumble through existence with shoelaces that won't stay tied.

  1. I don’t know if I’ve said this enough, but I’ve really loved doing these sprints with you and Ariel. They have legit changed my writing life, and I’m so thankful you opened my eyes to them. I’m currently at the library, and I’ve already gotten in my word count for the day simply because of sprinting, and it’s only 3 o’clock! (Of course, now I’m edging towards things I haven’t prepared for in advance at all, so I may be slowing down soon, but I can at least take some time now to try to outline and storyboard a bit more.)

Also, [Kris Jenner voice] you’re doing amazing, sweetie!

    1. I’m so glad that they’ve been helping you, and I feel so overwhelmed by how quickly you’re breezing through your word count. I seriously need to step my game up! I look like a punk next to you.

Unfortunately I am at work, and I don’t feel completely comfortable writing while at work, because we have to vouch for the time we spent on projects and tasks for metrics. But maybe if I find a lag in the day, I can multitask something with writing so that I can say I did work on ‘x’ thing. Sundays are usually our slowest, anyway.

      1. No, you don’t!!! Like I said, for the past few days, I have been working with a lot of stuff I’d already written or had pre-planned, but I’m about to enter stuff where I have done mostly nothing except think about. So the challenge is just ahead, and I’m hoping I don’t choke.

No pressure on writing at work. I understand when adult responsibilities must come first. However, I hope you get the time you need today to meet your goal. The NaNo write-in this afternoon was really good, so you have that to look forward to!

        1. That’s great! I’m glad it was a good one. I took a peek at which interns were running it this year, and I gotta say I’m sad I didn’t see a familiar face from last year. Those girls were so precious and also seemed like folks we’d hang out with IRL.

Hopefully these folks are cool beans, though. I’ll either use it tonight or tomorrow morning before work. 🙂
