The Many Postures of NaNoWriMo

Today concluded day 3 of NaNoWriMo, and I can barely believe it’s already November and I’m already panicking over word count and content for this story. The last few days have included virtual write-ins with best friends across the country, curling up on the couch trying to crank out words, and walking to a nearby cafe and enjoying the view of the first snow of the season as my writing backdrop.

This year, I’m trying not to stress about word count, while also wanting to hit the 50,000 word goal. I’m also struggling to find the right setting for optimum momentum and the least distraction. But I’m sure that will come in time.

How is NaNoWriMo treating you?

  1. Okay, so I did not realize that in that one picture your laptop’s doing the Microsoft Update thing, and wouldn’t that just be the pits if you sat down to write, all ready to go and be amazing, and your computer just goes, “Oh hai, I need to update now :)” Oh my God, I’d be furious lol.

    1. Haha, luckily I was prepared for it because the night before, I told it to update before it shutdown. Had it not, I’d probably would have been a little annoyed.
