I hate to admit it, but November wasn’t the best month for me. Some of the reasons for this I shared on my blog, but basically my plans for NaNoWriMo went out the window.
But the holidays are meant for reflection, I think.
A really rad chick that I follow shared some of these thoughts and inspirations on her blog in the post, “It’s Not Over.” I really, truly think that you should consider following her blog and reading that post.
NaNoWriMo is over. I made it approximately 10k words before this month imploded on me. But I’ve been making up for the things I’ve lost or missed out on because of the stress. I’ve been writing a bit more, I decorated the house for Christmas and I made some delicious foods for the holidays. And we still have one month left until the end of 2015, which means I have even more time to tie up loose ends–finish what I started, get my mind straight for the new year ahead, and get my writing projects in order.
I have ideas bouncing around my head that I need to start and/or finish, and I’m sure you do, too.
So writers and creators alike, take this month to really get yourself ready for the new year and finish what you started, and start those ideas you’ve been talking about for so long. Don’t let life and time get away from you.
Happy holidays & happy new year!
